Cannot really be compared, PS3 is very close sales wise to 1st and 2nd place. Gamecube was far behind PS2 and dreamcast killed sega.

Gamecube and Xbox basically split second place.

I thought the Xbox beat the Gamecube pretty soundly.

You thought that because you live in America.

The GC and Xbox were pretty much neck and neck up until 2004... then the Xbox had an amazing year with some of the biggest games of the gen like Halo 2, as well as ports of big PC hits like Half Life 2 and Doom 3, and then getting a port of San Andreas in 2005.  The only noteworthy games for the GC that were released in 2004 were Prime 2 and Paper Mario:  Thousand Year Door, both great games, but hardly the blockbuster / system mover types that Halo and GTA were.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
