I'll wait until the games arrive, but photorealism? Far, far from it as of now.

the QD demo is miles better than this one, the subsurface scattering is just soo much better in the old man. the details, textures and facial animations are just more advanced in the QD demo. the res as well is really different. (of the model, textures and maps)

That's not the point. That demo was 8 years ago when people were new to the HD tech and CELL architecture, and yet it still looks much better than anything seen in any PS3 game. So if that's the case, it naturally follows that the QD demo won't actually be reached in any game, and shall remain just that: a tech demo.

something i already said in this post but fyi the quality of the facial animations was reached, with uncharted, last of us, beyond two souls and la noire.

I'm too tired to do a comparison just now, but I'd still say that this tech demo looked better than those games (arguably TLoU is closest), but this is 8 years ago. We all know how far things have come since then.

I see also Trunkin is making the same point. So, good for him!
