4th Gen: SNES; so many great memories. I learned to love Mario and Zelda.
5th Gen: PlayStation; I enjoyed it and loved Gran Turismo. Nintendo 64 the console wowed me and had many great games
6th Gen: PlayStation 2; it had a ton of games I Also discovered the great GTA. Xbox; This is where Halo, one of my favorite franchises was born. Gamecube; it is my favorite Nintendo console yet, it also had my favorite game of all time (Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door)
7th Gen: Xbox 360; it has a great and continuous library of games and doesn't disappoint. Wii; it had a lot of great games and was one of the few consoles to ever wow me.
8th Gen (so far): Wii U; leaves a bad taste in my mouth although this could change over time.
