Valve has been working on Steambox, if they released games on other consoles it would be like Nintendo putting Mario on PS4. It would make extra money from wider market sales, but would also paint a picture that they aren't fully confident in their own hardware to support themselves. I would be surprised if a new Valve game turned up anywhere besides Steam.
