Forums - Sony - Ridiculous PS4 Third Party Support

Did anybody else notice just how much third party support was announced for the PS4? When this screen with 80 or so developers was shown I was totally astounded. If PS4 is really getting at least one game from every company on here, the game library has immense potential.

What do you think? Is Sony going to secure the top spot in third party support for next generation?

Full lists of PS4 third party developers (thanks pokoko and WagnerPaiva!):

level 5 :')

Sony is on that list.

Also I noticed Platinum is on that list.

This is kind of expected for a Sony home platform. They aren't Nintendo after all.

Is Dark Souls 2 a PS4-720 game?

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Yeah I noticed Sony and SOE are on there, so mark a couple off. But there's some missing names like Blizzard and Bungie as well. Or are those bundled into Activision as the publisher?

Japan is extremely well represented, though some are very niche. I'm not even certain all of them make video-games.

It's time to start saving up the paychecks, because the more gamers can support those third party developers, the better for the industry as a whole, as well as consumers.

um how does that list compare to PS3 or 2?

I wouldn't be too impressed just yet. I seem to recall the Vita having a similar list of publishers pre-launch as well.

But of course, going off the PS3, the PS4 should have plenty of support.
