Super/Ultra capacitors will change the way we think about energy storage. It's an exciting time.
the main issue with capacitors are their storage densities (I believe are Joules per meter squared), but their charge/discharge rates are phenomenal. Things like carbon nanotubes and Graphene should overcome a lot of the capacitor's limitations...
Imagine devices where the embedded "battery" will outlast the other electronics on the device...
