Microsoft would be pretty keen to go with d/ls, but surely the technology and infrastructure's not there yet.

But  for data storage only 3 times capacity per layer compared to DVD is too little too late, even BD's 5 times per layer could be quite small both now and even more when BD will be a commodity.
