Have you ever seen another console get as much media attention as the PS4 is getting before its annoucement?

I wasn't on gaming forums or sites that much when this gen started, but I'd say no. The amount of news, no matter how trivial or niche is reported ad nauseam these days, I'd expect this to be the trend when any new console comes out from now on.
