Have you ever seen another console get as much media attention as the PS4 is getting before its annoucement?

Seems pretty standard. Sony fans are hyped, as you would expect. You can't really measure "hype". The coverage seems about what you would expect... it's a big deal. I wouldn't say it's more or less than PS3, PS2, XBox360 or WiiU. Wii got an exceptional amount of media coverage but it was unusual, more like i-thing coverage. Things like the Youtube vid or whatever isn't coverage or hype, it's advertising.
