you guys are comparing "PS4 announcment spectulation" to announced pre-release hype (wii and 360), is it that hard to understand. But on the topic I dont think its not fair to compare the hype of this generation to any other generation, as internet was not that wide spread in 2005/04 facebook and youtube were no were in the picture, bandwith was slow. This speculative announcment could only be compared to wii u, and buzz is far greater than Wii's successor had. Everybody was admanent that 720 would be the first one revealed, but out of no where sony jumped in and took everyone off gaurd with their "see the Future of playstation" video and shot the hype meter out of stratosphere. so yeah the speculation hype/buzz is very strong for game console which no announcment at all.
