sometimes the less you say or do, belies more meaning than if you do say/do something.
Like whenever Sony Rep says "We do not coment on rumours and speculation....*smirk*".....that says more than 1000 words.
In this case, those suttle reveals like the perfume seem pretty glaring. Why now reveal a Noctis frangrance line? Its viral marketing of sorts. If this wasn't done diliberately to hint at something, it would be rather pointless to do at all.

If that's how you want to interpret things, fine. But "all signs points to" would mean something akin to "a large amount of clear evidence supports the idea that" or something along those lines. That's not what we have here.

a hint is a vague identifier by definition, and a hint can be seen as a "sign". I think you might be reading too much into the wording.
And do you think the timing of the fragrance is a coincidence?(mind you like I said in the OP, it is also the fact SE stated they had some FF reveals prepped for early 2013, and Nomura's eagerness to give info yet said he was being stifled by "something" which could very well be new console reveal)
