You do realise we are talking about an action rpg that looks like Crisis Core ?

1. Action RPG has become far more popular than traditional, as the WRPGs have proven. Many always wanted the FF series to graduate to a more KH style of combat. Maybe not identical to KH but faster pace is what we want most. The combat in the state we saw it felt like FFXII meets Star Ocean/Tales of type scenarios
2. Crisis Core was a phenomenal JRPG, barring the randomizing of certain moves via the Slot system. Versus will assuredly not be as automated, which is the biggest problem with the last few main FF releases for most (FFXII and FFXIII).

Am I missing your point? As it sounds like you think CC and Versus will be bad from what we know of it so far.
