Well, at least they put the money SEGA gave them into a much better game lol. Borderlands 2 is one of the best games of 2012. Plus I got it for just $25 on Black Friday, so Gearbox didn't get all of my monies lol.

I also got it for $25 at best buy. LOL

Got mine for free with my graphics card.

But NightDragon83.  Don't you think maybe the game was better because all the money was spent on making it.  Also I believe it says Gearbox didn't even make Aliens but had another team make it for them while they worked solely on borderlands 2.   Gearbox basically just took the Aliens game that another team made and made sure there were no bugs.   Then handed the game to SEGA

Basically criminal all around.

I agree that it's a dick move if that's exactly how it went down, with Gearbox focusing only on Borderlands while shoving the game they were supposed to be developing for SEGA off to a 2nd rate developer.

What I don't understand is that if the game wasn't ready yet because Gearbox simply couldn't focus enough resources on it, then 1) why did they take on the project in the first place, and 2) why couldn't the game just simply have been pushed back 3-6 months or so until it was polished enough for retail release and so they could implement all of their original ideas that they wanted to put in the game?

From SEGA's point of view, wouldn't you rather have released a good game that was delayed for a bit, rather than a bad game released in the dead of winter that nobody is going to want to pick up now?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
