First off they lose out on buying Bioware, they totally drop the ball in Europe, and now they can't properly supply NA.. ah and that's just the start of MS screw ups with the 360. MS is making money - they don't need to go into debt buying Bioware. Europe - not quite. They have had minimal advertising and the lofty PS3 is only outselling it by what 20K max? MS is just grinning right now. They didn't have to drop the price - they didn't have to sell stripped-down 360 - it's like Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd in "Trading Places" - at the end, they are telling folks to sell their orange stocks ... and when it hits rock bottom, they tell them to they'll buy their shares.
MS is gonna drop the hammer and play this like a sonata. I could be wrong, but based on how much of the PC OS they have locked up, and how they like to dominate, I can definitely see this happening.
