If Sony can show that PS4 is a significant leap over PS3 in terms of games, multimedia, and connectivity, while launching at $399, they should be well on their way. With the much more mature state of SCEWWS compared to when PS3 launched I think software will be much better this time around. Last gen Sony was still trying to squeeze out PS2 titles, and 3rd parties had not made the swing to next gen development early enough for the same reasons.

This time around they will be ready to bring the big guns within the first year and a half like with PS2. I expect to see Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, Uncharted, Final Fantasy, and other big franchise all by next holiday. Also they will not fall behind with 3rd party support like last gen. They should get all of the same games as the WiiU and XBOX3, and they should not have performance issues like PS3 did, if rumors are true.

If PS3 sales are any indicator of momentum, then Sony has the advantage in the home console market right now. If they can pick up from there, without the stumbles of the PS3's launch, then there should be good times ahead for PS4.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter.
