umm.. didnt every other developer say that the Wii U was powerful and stuff and that their ports/gamesfor the Wii U launch will be the best versions evah?!

How'd that turn out? oh, yeah....

What an exaggeration.  Fifa looked best on wii u with the doubled res on the pitch & crowd, Trine the best, and the Aliens game..well we may not get to see that garbage game anyways.

The only blatant liars were activision, advertising wii u blops 2 to run  in "true hd: 720p" when DF exposed it to being the same as the 360's sub hd. The other multiplats  were a combination of lazy uneducated devs & Nintendo hiding/not providing proper  tools & documentation. but certainly don't recall more claims of wii u having a superior version, if anything, most devs clearly said they were not going to put extra work in visually, when they already had to deal with gamepad implementation.

@Bold: Criterion even indicated in the DF interview that they wouldn't have been able to pull this off by the launch window, stating their advantage as 'additional tools and help from Nintendo'. The launch titles were done on an early SDK that most likely was missing features, by devs who do not yet know the hardware, and without Nintendo being able to provide adequate support. Quality will continue to go up for future games. No launch port on any system has ever showcased a system's full potential.
