NPD is just USA. VGC is world and through Dec31 the estimated SOLD is pretty damn close in comparison to what Nintendo SHIPPED. I can't see VGC being that much if any off for January.

Didn't VGC have Wii U at 79K for January and NPD have reported 55K? Or is that 24K meant to represent Canada?

NPD is USA only, so it doesn't include Canada or any other of the American countrys like Mexico or Brazil.  VG Charts lables American sales as USA, which should be changed IMO.
