Debatable, but ultimately irrelevant. That has no more to do with "caring about the gamer" than Gillette's release of a four-blade disposable razor has to do with "caring about the shaver." They do these things to try to make as much money for themselves as they can: they come no closer to caring about the gamer than a rancher cares about his hogs. Shoot, both of these companies are on record as stating that they only entered the gaming market to gain control of the television, so that they can monopolize access to other forms of entertainment.
