It's 2001: Space Odyssey.  Really don't like it wouldn't even make my top 500 movie list of all time.  Still don't get why its so popular I'm guessing a lot of people where stoned when they watched it.

Why don't you like it? The attention to detail is amazing on the big screen, still the most realistically portrayed interplanetary travel scenario in sf movies. The ending makes a lot more sense after reading the book. Never watched it stoned though, I would imagine that would put you to sleep long before the 'experimental' special effects sequence.
