Actually, I'm mormon so it is actually against my religion. Also, your analogy to a child refusing to eat vegetables is a fallacy of analogy. There are a lot of healthy reasons for somebody to east vegetables. However, alcohol on the other hand can have some rather negative effects on your health. It is not a good analogy. There are lots of reasons not to drink alcohol, from negative effects to inhibitions and health. There aren't that many reasons to not eat vegetables other than not liking the taste... |
Actually that's a bad analogy as alcohol is not inherently bad.
There are no reasons why not to drink alcohol if it is done in moderation. Veg is healthy. Alcohol does not have the same benefits, but that does not mean it has to then be bad.
Can I ask why Jesus and everyone else back then was allowed to drink but you're not? I don't know much about the mormon religion but I do know the few stories such as water to wine etc.
