Every alcoholic drink has a trace of what the last one tasted like. Surprisingly (or maybe not...) this is the alcohol that they put in the drink to make it an alcoholic drink. People don't like that.

From what I've tasted so far in my young life - hell no.Would you really say you could taste any similarities between Whiskey, Vodka, Beer and Prosecco etc. just because they all contain alcohol? Hell.No.

The only one out of those that I have tasted is Beer. But, I've had Champagne and Wine too. I can pick out similarities.

You have very good pallet then... To me most beer have a distinct taste. I like beer but can't stand wine. Yet I try differen wines knowing I might find one I like.

I'm in the exact opposite boat - I don't like beer, like wine, but still try beers in case I come across one I like. And I have come across one or two. 

I think it's far healthier to be open minded than not. Good to see I'm not alone. 

A challenge for the real open minded - Smoked Beer. Might sound absolutely strange, but it tastes like liquid smoked ham - just awesome^^
