Not true ... Halo, Halo 2, Medal Of Honour Frontline (PS2), Medal Of Honour Rising Sun (PS2) and Metroid Prime all sold more than 100K units; in fact Medal Of Honour Frontline sold (rougly) 175,000 units ...
Edit: If you wanted the First FPS to break 100k in Japan it would be Goldeneye 64 selling (approximately) 130k units, and Perfect Dark also sold about 160k units.
