Who's saying they wouldn't try something they were offered? My point is that if you don't have a general like or passion for something in the first place, why would you actively seek out a single variety that you might possibly like? I personally dislike the underlying "alcohol" taste in most drinks. I also dislike the effect they have on me. The general buzz you feel from drinking makes me uneasy. If someone offered me something new that I haven't had I would take a sip, I'm not some elitist trying to prove a point. |
"I don't like the taste of alcohol"
"I have yet to find an alcoholic drink I like"
Very different. I'm not saying "actively seek out something to drink" but just "don't write off all alcoholic drinks because you've had a few bad ones". However it is good to see that you are open minded to new drinks rather than blindly writing them all off.
Why does the buzz from drinking make you uneasy...? I'm not an elitist trying to make a point. I'm saying that making sweeping generalisations based on a few drinks is incredibly ignorant and bordering on juvenile (refer back to sprouts example).
