NPD won't be revealed until after the Nintendo Direct. I suppose they can preempt NPD by reassuring the fans there is a promising future. I still think it will mostly focus on the 3DS.

Yeah, I'm just thinking of the last ND, which pre-empted Nintendo's quarterly financial report. This one could serve a similar purpose for American investors.
