I'm not suggesting Sony will dominate Nintendo in the next handheld race, what I'm asking is where do Nintendo go next. The obvious space they'd want to occupy would be better graphics, two analogue sticks, better online features and console integration -- the space that Vita already occupies. Sony were clever when they released the MOVE because they occupied the space that Nintendo would have naturally occupied, which, I believe is why they opted for the new space they've created. Vita may not be selling well, but if you see it as a place holder for that space, awaiting connectivity with the PS4, you could argue that Sony have deliberately released the Vita 'early' in order to have it in place for when the PS4 releases. 'Long gone'? Not a chance. A price cut is coming this year and if the rumours are to be believed so is the PS4. Let's wait and see before we judge ... or am I to take it that the Wiiu will be long gone too? |
Stores near me are already removing or downsizing their Vita section so ya I can't see it's been around for much longer at this rate.
