Tachikoma said: This thread is so full of fail. People getting butthurt then handing out non-related comments to try and butthurt themselves, it's just laughable. WiiU GPU is on par with ps3/360, there's nothing 'special' about it that'll make it magically more powerful, and after 10 years of working in the game development industry let me tell you this much, The console manufacturer doesn't have to tell you the detailed specs of the GPU for you to make the most of it, you do that yourself by optimizing the code and working around limitations in power you find - yes nintendo don't give out their latest SDK's to third parties and keep them for first party titles - but that doesn't mean the functions to use the GPU in the ways available in hardware aren't there - You dont need specs if you're rebuilding and testing your software on the hardware 300+ times a day, so seriously, stop with the wishful thinking and dreams. Fact of the matter is developers are finishing up their ps3/360 titles and looking towards the new hardware, so working on games for a platform that means additional work to 'make it go', just adds expense - say hello to shovelware from 3rd parties (just like the wii!), keep your fingers crossed for the next year or so's multi-platform ps3/360 games making their way to the wiiu, because once devs have all switched to the newer systems that's it for them, the only multi-platform versions of the next consoles the wiiu will get are drastically rushed, cut down versions unless nintendo splashes the cash (which it hates to do for anything not 1st party). And wit the way things are going, developers just aren't going to bother, because those 0.09m salves figures for new games on a new console are less than it cost to make the game they're selling. I'm sure the nintendo faithful will disagree with me till the cows come home but it doesn't change reality - You'll see it for yourself over the next 2 years, i won't stand there at the end of it and say 'i told you so', i'll just feel sorry that you got screwed over. |
wow what a comment.
no one is going to take you seriously with your childish idiosyncrasies.

Don't worry, you can be first on my list of people i feel sorry for - I know of (internally) two WiiU titles that were in early development that have been scrapped - they we never even announced but hey, let's pretend the developers clueless and talking out of her ass, but why take my word for it, go read this review: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-sonic-all-star-racing-transformed-face-off
When you're done, tell me with a straight face that there's a major difference between the WiiU, PS3 and 360 graphically - Eurogamer count it as a WiiU win based only on features added to the WiiU version (that they themselves could easilly have been added to the other versions with little change).
Yes, it's a new console and development is still really young, but the end result speaks for itself.
