I bought DQVI due to a lack of better options at that time. For me this isn't just restricted to JRPGs though. If I want a certain type of game, I'll settle for a 7/10 effort, if there's nothing better available. |
Fair enough. First time I see this, though. I, like most people I know, buy games when I want those games particularly. I can go over a year without buying any games if there's no Mario or Pokemon or any other franchise I like releasing in this time; I really can't be bothered to settle for a 7/10 experience if I could just watch TV or read a book instead. At the same time, I could end up buying a dozen games within the span of a few weeks, which rather contradicts the idea of too many games crowding up saturating the market.
