The kid sounds addicted as hell. It's actually kind of sad because it sounds like he has no social life beyond being with imaginary characters. I enjoy games but it isn't my life either. He seems to take things way to seriously so if that makes you a gamer sure then go ahead, im not one then.
I by the way don't tell people I'm a gamer. I just tell them I like games and I only tell people that I know well.
