Can't say I'm surprised.
Since the annoucement at E3 last year the interest level in this console has been tepid at best. Gone is the casual market that bought the Wii en masse for Wii Sports and Wii Fit leaving the WiiU struggling to try and attract a market from a group of gamers who the original Wii console never really resonated with.
Irrespective of what the Nintendo fanboys want to claim, the Wii U is 2 years too late and unless it comes up with a game changing killer app to attract the casual market that have moved onto IOS/Android then the sales will drop even further when the 720 and PS4 are released later this year.
