Now that I think of it, "Moon" sounds much better than "Light" type. They could possibly even make a "Twilight" type to go together with Dark and Moon....although that would be kinda weird...well Moon or Twilight....could be the same o.O

Part of the reason why "Moon" works well is that it's not the same as "Light", but it has a similar feel to it. "Light" is pretty much already in the game, in the form of the Fighting type. Keep in mind that, in Japan, "Dark" is actually "Evil" (as in, the type is "Evil type", not "Dark type").

I wouldn't go with a "Twilight" type - that would basically be Dark/Moon anyway, at least in a sense.

If I were going to go with a second type to pair with Moon type, I'd go with "Sun" type. It would also go well with existing pokemon - Sunflora, Bellossom, Solrock, Groudon, Ninetales, Whimsicott, and Liligant come to mind.

What's more, they kind of match the games well, also. X/Y kind of evokes gender, and the sun is typically seen as male, and the moon as female. The Y legendary, coloured red, goes with the version that evokes male (XY), and would suit the sun quite well. The X legendary, coloured blue, goes with the version that evokes female (XX), and would suit the moon quite well. Note that the Y legendary was seen flying through the sky with a glow around it, while the X legendary was in a dark forest and was reflecting sunlight to create a dappled look.

It kind of makes sense. That said, I'd be surprised if my speculation was right.
