im excited for both. but here is the thing, dont milk a franchise. i dont like a franchise to have 11 games. i like there to be a balance between both sequels and new IP's.
as for next gen, there are games im really excited for, games that would benefit from more power. for example uncharted, it relies a lot on technology to create its set pieces and awesome moments, so better hardware would benefit the game greatly and make the game franchise evolve and bring new things.
on the other hand when buying a new console i just love playing something entirely new, i like new experiences and i like new idea's. personally i would prefer the best of two worlds, i think companies should release a big console exclusive alongside a big new IP at launch. people who buy new consoles usually buy more than one game, give something something new, and something they love
