Well gaming already is, it's just rather slow at the moment.
If you look at recent profit reports from companies such as Sony and Square Enix, combined with the bankrupcy of THQ and the overall massive loss every published made during the recession, gaming is definitely going through a bumpy era and if Devs and Pubs are not careful, gaming will have a huge crash.
But who is surprised? The market has changed with the emergence of mobile and casual fbook gaming, and the console guys did nothing, and because of publishers being stupid, they limited the PC devs to stay at the same pace of the consoles thus limiting their potential as well. The result? Damn big drops in profit or even losses.
