To watch babies cry as their candy gets stolen.

Nah, seriously, my best answer is to 'experience everything that there is to experience.' From falling in love, to watching your kids murdered in front of you. It's a rather brutal world at times. All sorts of extremes, with most of it dull in the middle.

Life is a series of experiences - like a game, but without a easy reboot option (well, that we know of anyway.) Isn't it the same answer to why create a game?

No. Far from it.

When we create a game we (can) do it for several reasons: The fun of creating it, the expected financial profits, the enjoyments of playing the final product, etc.

An almighty being would not have any of that. It would already be aware of how the entire process would turn out before it actually did. There would be no surprises along the road and they would learn nothing new. Everything would turn out exactly as expected. Not to mention that their powers would grant them the ability to create the final result without a developing process anyway.

Again, their creation is unnecessary.
