My #23 is Raging Bull, the best movie of the 1980s. Raging Bull is a powerful, sometimes uncomfortable peek into the life of a flawed human being with enormous potential. The technical aspects of the film -- editing, sound, and sound editing -- are excellent, and director Martin Scorsese meticulously controls the entire production. The highlight of the movie is, of course, Robert DeNiro, whose performance is all-time great.
