Well, there are other similar instances like in Rogue Leader where squeezing accelerates and clicking activates full thrusters. One of my favorite uses for them on the Gamecube was in the Resident Evil remake. I always chose the control scheme where the trigger would make your character walk or run depending on the pressure and it worked beautifully.

Still, there's something to be said about digital functionality too; I just see it as yet another obstacle for games designed with the PS360 controllers in mind.
