Nintendo made the WiiU gamepad because they didnt have a better idea - opinion

Nintendo is the kind of company who doesn't just do something to do something, they take a lot of considerations on gameplay integration. The one nice thing about the Wii U is that if I DON'T like the gamepad, I still can use a Wii remote or a pro controller, so I won't totally be stuck with it.

There hasn't been very many people who actually try the pad and not like. Despite all the hate, it is very comfortable, light for it size, has a very crisp screen, and a wed browser that's almost as good as a computer. You'd have to be very picky to not like it. Or be an unreasonable Nintendo hater.

Good to hear, I'm familiar with Ipads due to my job, so I'm sure it'll be easy to adapt to. I'm just trying to fit a Wii U purchase into my budgetting.

Note - Planning a wedding is a serious drain to your gaming budget!
