Nintendo made the WiiU gamepad because they didnt have a better idea - opinion

If Nintendo came up with a better idea, they'd have used a better idea. It's pretty much blatantly obvious. Note that I make no comment about whether the Wii U gamepad was a good or bad idea - that's because it's a different question.

yes i get that a lot of people pointed that out what i ment is that nintendo tried to come up with some new innovative idea but couldnt. so they just added a touch screen on a controller. not something new or innovative at all.
