Don't get the USB adapter. If it works for capturing video via software then there will be a noticeable lag hindering gameplay. There's a bad enough lag when you have more intense hardware like a capture card. Like I said earlier Dscaler can offset that but for some games it's still not responsive enough especially if you plan on something as fast paced as Smash Bros. Plus at that price the direct VGA cable offering 480p is the same anyway so you might as well grab that.
