You really have an ingnorant misconception of guns and an irrational fear of them. I live in Milwaukee which has conceal and carry along with open and carry. You don't need a permit for open and carry. And it's nothing like the wild west you make it seem it should be like. I also have to go through the bad areas to get to school and feel fine. There is no reason to be scared of someone with a legal gun on their hip unless you are being unruly and harmful to others.
