So unless PS2 sold nothing for the past year, then yes DS outshipped PS2.

That PS2 number was released on November 21st, 2011, and it was most likely as of the end of September 2011.  The PS2 shipped 1.5 million in the next 6 months, and then an unknown amount in the last 9 months.

The DS has not passed the PS2, and it will be a fairly long road before it does (if it even happens).
