1. Princess Mononoke - Just a superb work of animation and remember getting it years ago on VHS and watching it over and over in awe. I love the characters and world and ideas it contains. It is close to perfection to me, and one I can always watch on a whim.
2. Spirited Away - This maybe the most beautiful work by Ghibli as some segments are jaw dropping and the story and characters are fun as well. I would say if I introduced the studio to anyone, this would be the first work I'd show.
3. Grave of the Fireflies - I saw this long after it came out, so animation suffers, but man that story punches you in the gut. One of those rare works that I sat in silence for 15 minutes after viewing.
