their only luck was 3rd party disdain to Nintendo, everything Sony touched sooner or later is destined to complete obscurity, almost every bestseller from PS1 generation is irrelevant today (except GT), entire Japanese market bet on one brand on Sony, the entire Japanese market is globally irrelevant with exception of Nintendo and their handheld business.
their entire war chest from PS1 and PS2 generation was flushed to toilet in their megalomaniacal dreams about supercomputer in your livingroom. They succeeded in only one thing, opened gates to GTA and CoD demographics, which reduced entire industry from family entertainment to bloodthirsty gun and blood theater.
And for this i personaly blame three companies, SQUARE, Enix and Capcom
