I'm not sure. Nintendo have given Platinum Games the money to finance Bayonetta 2. Based on what Hideki Kamiya has said I'm not sure.
At the same time we know Platinum Games own the rights to Bayonetta 2, but Nintendo have some control on those rights because they have invested in the IP.
That being said Microsoft supposedly held the rights for Mass Effect 1, yet it went multiplatform eventually. Its possible if the game dosen't sell a lot of copies on the Wii U Nintendo will release the publishing rights for the game. Or maybe they only have control over the rights to Bayonetta 2 for 3 or 4 years. I'm not sure, but I'm hoping for a Mass Defect coup.
