Nintendo made the WiiU gamepad because they didnt have a better idea - opinion

So this thread is basically saying absolutely nothing.

here is something i replied to nintendopie that better explains my point and what im trying to say

"and let me put it this way, Wii blew everyone away from the start with Wii sports. lets be honest WiiU didnt, it feels like they are still trying to figure out how to make interesting idea's with the gamepad and thats what im trying to say, they didnt come up with a new compelling idea like the WiiMote so they went with an old existing one (like another user pointed out) and try to make the best out of it"
