By now no one is making up excuses for Vita. It's selling badly and that's not going to change any time soon. Soul Sacrifice might push some systems in Japan but I don't see anyone saying this will save the system.
For Wii U, people learned from the Vita. If people don't wait it, they don't want it. There needs to be compelling games and atractive prices in order to push the Wii U. I don't see a price cut any time soon and I dont' see the big Nintendo 1st party games coming until the end of the year.
