Congrats. Nice to see people make a turn around earlier in their lives, it will help a ton in the long run. It probably took a lot of determination and sweat blood and tears to get to where you are today. Give yourself a pat in the back from all of us.

I'm also working hard to turn it around. The heaviest I was at one point, I believe it was early 2012, was 215 lbs. To me, I felt terrible, I had seriously let myself and even though i didn't look obese, I still felt that way. I bought a heavy bag and got to work. I also started that insanity workout and i just ended week 3. I have seen some results, mostly in my arms, stomach and chest. A neighbor gave my dad this Ab lounge chair which I am also using regularly.

I'm not looking to have a shit ton of muscles, i just wanna be fit and I think i'm achieving that. I am down to 196 last time i weight myself which was yesterday morning. I plan to stick all the way to the two months and i will most likely do the workout a second time to make sure I get into the shape I want and hopefully go down to 185, which at 5 foot 11 inches of height would be ideal for me. I'm also starting a better diet regimen. Decent breakfast, a heavier lunch usually before work (i bring my own food, I don't buy from outside) and a smaller but more balanced meal dinner, which is usually a peanut butter jelly sandwich with some fruit or some chicken nugget tortillas with lots of spinach and very little condiments or just some high fiber and protein cereal with a banana milkshake, chocolate milk or protein shake.

I'm looking forward to coming back here to this thread (if is still alive) and sharing some results and pics in the next few weeks. Lastly, I do recommend Insanity to anybody looking to further their fitness. It isn't easy, it hurts like hell and the first 2 weeks, you will not be able to walk for the most part but it works very well, from my current experience.

I honestly think the hardest part is not getting fit into your ideal image as it is maintaining it afterwards. Once you get the body you want, as OP did, it's hard to keep it that way. It's not about a year of changing dietary change and working out, its making sure you keep it up for the rest of your life. I think that's where the real challenge is.
