So let me get this straight. Early 360 and PS3 games still looked like a leap over the last gen, even though developers were getting used to the HW and some were quick ports? Yet, Wii U early games don't look like a jump over last gen, because developers are getting used to the HW and some were quick ports? I got that, right? Maybe the system just isn't capable of delivering such a leap. At least not a very noticable one. You're probably going to have to look elsewhere if you truly want that leap. |
Nooooooowwwwwww your getting it. No it isn't THAT huge of a leap, but it is ahead. Developers still getting used to the hardware are pushing out the equivilant of the absolute latest 7th Gen consoles. In other words it is more powerful and you'll see it doing some impresive stuff later on, some maybe even on par of the early PS720 titles, however eventually it will be outdone by them, but even they wont be huge leaps.
As you said, if you're looking for a huge leap, look somewhere else which is absolutely true. Which always confuses me as to why people get mad at Nintendo for not being cutting edge. If you don't want it, don't buy, but the fact is it is the Wii U is significantly more powerful than the current Gen consoles and later games will show this. The argument of it is the same power or worse is getting really old.
