The ports? The companies barely put any effort into them and still came out with great results (Blops2) The 3rd party exclusives? ZombiU did NOT have a $50 million dollar budget to push out the most impresive level of polys ever. 1st Part exclusives? Nintendo games have never been about the raw power, There aren't that many 1st party games out yet, Nintendo studios still haven't gotten used to the HD era and the games that they pushed out had nothing to do with graphicsal capabilities (2D mario and NintendoLand). So I have to ask, which of these, even if it was on the PS4, would have blown the competition out of the water? A powerful console does not a beautiful game make. It's the time, money and effort developers put into the game and maximising the hardware which makes a beautiful game. Nintendo will eventually show how far the Wii U is ahead of the current gen when studio like Retro or Monolith come out with their games. But for now, I don't get what your benchmark is? |
To be fair...the majority of the early games on the Xbox 360 and PS3 were a signficant leap in terms of showing off the console's graphical muscle....right now it just feels like Ninetndo is just catching up to Sony and Microsoft

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
