100% yes.
The Wii U will be significantly underpowered this generation. They wont be able to compete in terms of hardware specs so the key is software. If even half of the games show at Nintendo Direct launch in direct competition to the next gen console launches it will put them in a good place. Especially if they can manage a $50 price cut by then even though I don't think a price cut is coming until next year.
