However, people like me, who owned a PS3 and a XBOX360 for years, and have played the shit out of those sexy beasts, will not be happy about the WIIU and what it brings to the table. I can´t wait to have a new console, but after 6 years, it better be much more awesome than the HD TWINS, it has to be. At least for me to buy.
If you only had a Wii, then to buy a WiiU is a no brainer, of course you going to buy it. But if you had a taste of the HD twins, man, it is to late to go back. I understand if kids feels like they have to own only one console and be loyal, it is a money thing, I was a kid once, had only one console each gen, and just a few games. Now I am 31, I work hard to mantaing my house and, this hobby called video gaming. And it is not an expensive one, if you have a job. I know guys that collect cars and go out with luxury prostitutes, now, that is expensive. And of course, the most expensive hobby of all: getting married, if you do that, you might as well be a kid again, you will barelly have money and time for ONE console... Well, that got a little off topic. Nintendo fans, enjoy your WiiU, it has HD, good for you, have fun. But understand why we are NOT excited, we of course would love to buy a Nintendo console again, but it has to be worthy... |
So you're saying it's not possible to a) enjoy the Wii and an HD console at the same time? or b) play a game with more traditional controls in HD and then go back and play a Wii game? Superchunk once showed a graph of the (theortical) number of people who owned more than one console, and the most common combination was Wii + Xbox/360. I wish I would have saved it to whip it out now.
And I know I'm just one man, but I go back and forth between HD games using twin sticks and Wii games all the time. If a game is fun, graphics or control options don't mean a thang.
